Tipping With Glue
Tipping, performed with fugitive glue or permanent glue, is a versatile application option to consider with your bindery projects. Signature to Signature
Commonly referred to as "signature tipping," this process involves tipping one signature to another with either type of glue. Signature tipping is an option when the signature count of your project exceeds the pocket count of your gathering line. 
For example, if you have a 15 pocket gathering line on your binder and your project requires 17 pockets, have us tip together some of the signatures for your binder. This will keep you as "one pass" for gathering. When Wrap-Ups is binding your project, we automatically compare the cost of tipping, based on the number of pieces needed to tip, versus an extra pass on the binder. Tipping these signatures may prove to be more economical.
Signature tipping can be a creative project solution when the customer requests a saddle-stitched book that will contain an insert placed inside the book, but not caught by the stitches. Price lists and coloring books are a couple examples of products you often find inside another book. Signature tipping allows the customer to be able to remove these with ease.
Bindery Hangers
Bindery hangers, sometimes referred to as "magna strips," can be used with a product brochure or simple pamphlet to prepare them for later operations, such as feeding into a perfect binder or saddle stitcher. Tipping on the bindery hanger will enable the end user to easily remove the product from their catalog, whether it was stitched or perfect bound. For stitch-in hangers, the hanger needs to be longer and planned for folding first, but perfect-binding hangers only require a straight 2-page style hanger.
Product Samples
Tipping product samples is an excellent way for your client to distribute their product, like game pieces or smaller brochures, along with a larger host document at an economical price. Tell your client that this is a great way to communicate with their customers while putting the product in their hands. Plus, tipping means more printing for you!!!!!
